Tamoco teamed up with Magnum to create a proximity marketing campaign aimed at driving footfall to their Magnum Pleasure Stores in London and Paris. When app users walked through a geofence they received a targeted push notification encouraging them to visit the store. In-store beacons and geo-fences surrounding the store were then used to measure and validate the number of people who visited the store.
We gained important insights into user activity. Magnum now know the most effective time to send notifications to their users. They have also gained a better understanding of their retail spaces and can identify which are the most popular locations in each city. The campaign shows the how location based advertising can directly increase footfall. 54% of all users that received a notification ended up visiting the store. This kind of conversion rate is rarely seen though other marketing channels.
